Hello Family,

Fall is here and what few trees that turn are showing some brilliant colors. But who needs forests full of oranges, yellow and brown when we have children who are so much more colorful! I know sharing with family and friends is what this season is all about. I want to encourage all of you to reach out to a long ago friend or a family member you haven’t seen in a long time, and share the thanksgiving we all have in Jesus.

Remember to come share an early meal with us and the neighbors around NACC on November 26th from noon-2:00. You will be blessed and you’ll still have time to share thanksgiving with your family at home. It’s a great way to share with your children what thanksgiving is all about.

Our Christmas Angel Tree will be up on Sunday the 21st, so plan on adopting a family and spreading Christmas to a family in need. We are very excited about this year and what God has in store for these families and yours!

Hello Family,

I hope you all are doing well as we are about to enter into November. I wanted to let you all know that we have many exciting things on the horizon and I can’t wait to see what God can do when we are faithful to him. This Sunday is our Floodgate Sunday and ask all of you to pray for wisdom and strength to boldly take the blessing God bestows on us and practice “Pure Religion” in Austin.

I pray that the flu has bypassed you or for those of you that got it were spared a lot of discomfort.

I hope to write to you more frequently!

It has been forever since I have posted, but I wanted to encourage all of you to come by and see our new Library. It’s down in the Children’s wing. Make sure you come by next time your by the bulding.

Howdy Hoe Neighbors,

Hope your summer is a blast! I wanted to tell you guys of 4 great things coming up in the next couple of months. We have our Skate party at Skateland on August 14th at 6pm- 8pm. Please come and skate with us. This is for all elementary age kids and their families. Only 3 dollars a person for Pizza and that big Giant Cake. Remember we are giving out back packs on the 11th at NACC from 5 until 8 so bring a pack this Sunday and then come on out on the 11th. We have our Second Annual Father/Daughter Banquet on the 19th of September so mark your calender and sign up. We have very limited room so sign up soon! Finally we are very lucky to host a parenting seminar on September the 27th. This is huge! We will have people from all over central Texas coming so please keep this in your prayers and sign up today!

Please pray for us as we go on the big trip to Disneyworld! We are excited and look forward to the R and R.

I will post some pictures from DW when we get back so you can see how cool and dry it is in Florida!

Happy Independance Day Westover!

I hope you had a great day and a great week. Nothing says class better than a turtle neck, a cup of hot cocoa and some smooth marshmallows to go with fireworks.

Thanks again to everone who helped with FBA this year! God has been blessed by your hearts and time with his kids. We hope you all were blessed as well. Please feel free to comment here on what you thought about FBA this year. What you liked and what you didn’t. (We already know the sirens were annoying )

O.K. so we have had 2 great days of FBA and sadly we only have 2 more. I hope all of you who are able to be there are having a great time. Big Dog Kudos to Erik Hoover and Nate Minchey and Don Ward and Bob Crider for making the coolest collapsing building ever built inside of a church. Big Atta-boys to Duane Waddill for an awesome Ski slope and to all the great painters and sewing folks who made a foyer turn into a great town. Todd and Jimmy and their crew for awesome video and audio. Kevin, Julie and the singers rock! Cindy Freeman and the great FBA Actors. All the wonderful families who give their time and energy. Sharon and the snack attack. Jeanie and all her registration crew. The Nichols for bringing it full court on Parenting. Most importantly, God and the one true “Life Saver” Jesus!

Hello Westover,

I gotta tell ya, I am very excited about FBA this year. We are going to have a great time and I know your kids and all our volunteers will be blessed. Just wanted you all to make sure you register the kiddos as soon as possible. That way the first night (June 29th, 6:30 pm) the registration crew can get to everyone as quick as possible.

Also family we are need of helpers in 2 key areas, we have no helpers in serving our nightly snacks and we are short on 4 centers. Please pray  for leaders to step up and help in these 2 areas. If you want to know more about them give me a call or email. We have a back up plan just in case but it will make for a crowded FBA. Thanks for all your prayers and all your service to God in this ministry.

On a very exciting note, Fiesta was a blast last Monday and we can’t wait to see what happens this Monday at 6:00pm. Come join us and see amazing ways God is sharing these families with us.

Hello Westover!

I hope your May is getting off to a great start. As with April we have so much to look forward in the month of May. Including 31 days, a holiday and the closing of another great school year. Yeah for kids anxiety for the mamas. But do not fear we want to help by giving your kids an action packed Summer! So sign up fo VIP camp, and FBA in June and by the time July rolls around we will have tons more to do! I am attaching the VIP Camp Registration right here! 2008-vip-camp-registration-forms

Remember to help the kids put away for the storehouse on floodgate Sunday June 1st! (The storehouse would be the cool banks they got a few weeks ago.)

And oh by the way the cowbells were my idea and I know the kids will never forget how they connect with David and Goliath. (Just wanted to clear Denise’s good name)

Hey all,

Today was an awesome day at Westover. All the kids got a Floodgate bank and all we need now is to see the floodgates open up. Had a couple of things coming up very soon and wanted to make sure all of you were aware of these.

1. K2P Luncheon this Sunday right after church! We will be have 2 of the most important things God has put on this earth. PRIZES and Rudy’s Cream Corn. So let us know as soon as possible if you are a K2P Volunteer and can make it.
2. Mothers Day Mobile: We are having our 3rd (wow) Mother’s Day Mobile at NACC on May 10th from 1-3.
3. Angels Among Us Dinner on May 3rd. If you are part of our AAU ministry I hope you can be there and if you are not please continue to pray as this ministry is so vital to the heart of Westover.

We had our first official FBA meeting and it was huge! Denise has already put the kabosh on 2 of our ideas so I know it’s going to be a great FBA. ( So blowing snow in the Auditorium is probably not such a good idea). If you have building, painting, drawing, decorating, cooking, lifeguarding, firemanning(sp?), techno computer video sound, singing, acting or kid loving skills we sure could use you. So come be a part of a really fun and rewarding time at Westover. FBA 2008

Finally, for the first time in Westover history we had a live Kangaroo in K2P at our Playday on Saturday. So I have included not only a picture but rare video footage over on the left so check it out.

Hey all!

Just wanted to tell you all about a few of cool things coming up. First we will be kicking off “Floodgate” this Sunday. All the kids are going to get something cool to help them prepare for the June 1st event. Second, we have our theme for FBA, “Rescued- Jesus is our Lifesaver” from Luke 10:19. All our stories are from Luke this year so we are very excited to see God do great things through our kids. We have a great speaker, Philip Nichols (Neena Johnson’s Dad) for the adults and some cool new songs for the kiddos as well as some good oldies. And just added (to the left), some cool songs that I love and a funny video from Tim Hawkins. I hope to post all the FBA songs here a little later so the kids can get a taste of whats to come.

Finally please come and play with a bunch of cool animals at this Saturday’s Playday. It’s from 10am-noon. We will have a Bouncy and some funs snacks as well, so see you there.
